Failed firmware update

I updated my recently purchased MU-Thermocouple1 CAN FD through PEAK-Flash 3 with version 1.0.5. The unit was loaded with 1.0.6 (I think, I didn't write it down), so this was a DOWNGRADE. There's a bug I was trying to resolve, but that's a different topic for later.

Now my unit refuses to boot. The power LED blinks red, the thermocouple lights are solid on (not blinking with nothing plugged in), and no CAN messages are sent. The device also doesn't show up in PEAK-Flash anymore, so even if I had the firmware I don't think I could update it.

Is there a way to recover this device?
