CAN-GND and LIN-GND
I use the PCAN-USB Pro FD and have a question about grounding. The manual clearly says “Both LIN channels (common ground) are opto-decoupled against USB and CAN FD”. I checked the continuity on the connector and found that the grounds are indeed isolated. I am designing a board that has both CAN and ...

Re: PCAN-View not automatically answer Remote frames
The Receive/Transmit window shows a Remote frame with a MSGID of 111h. Altough the Transmit window lists 2 data frames with the same MSGID, they don't go out automatically. Understand both frames won't go out, but at least one frame should.

PCAN-View not automatically answer Remote frames
My setup is simple. CAN module of MCU connected to PCAN-USB Pro. MCU transmits a remote frame to PCAN and expects a response from PCAN. The Receive/Transmit window of PCAN-view shows the remote frame. In the Transmit window of PCAN-view, I have configured a data frame with the same ID. However, this ...

Re: PLIN-View: How to send a ID from master without databyte
Found the information under "Help":
"For transmitting a LIN frame request (without data) on the LIN bus, the corresponding frame definition in the Global Frame Table must be defined as Subscriber or as SubscriberAutoLength and PLIN-View Pro must be connected to the LIN hardware as LIN Master"

Re: PLIN-View: How to send a ID from master without databyte
I am not using a schedule table or anything. I will manually initiate the transmission of the ID field. All I want for the master (PCAN-USB-Pro) to do is to send the Synch-break, Synch & ID field and then the slave (my MCU) will respond with the data. How do I make the PCAN-USB-Pro do this?

PLIN-View: How to send a ID from master without databytes?
I am using the “PCAN-USB Pro FD” along with “PLIN-View Pro” software. I configured the hardware to work as a publisher and I am able to monitor whatever I transmit on an oscilloscope. All this is working fine. Now, in my setup, I have configured my MCU as a LIN slave. I have configured it to respond ...
