Re: CAN Extended Identifier routing

Hello,

No, this was not implemented.

However you can filter extended-IDs using conditions within your code
itself, see the example 05_Signals to see how one would go about only processing
certain extended messages.

Re: Linux Name Resolution (DNS) Failure

Hi Nick, Please check "/etc/systemd/resolved.conf", is any DNS configured? Do you have a Fallback DNS configured? Please check this, configure both if necessary and check if that resolved the issue. Please report back to us, if this has changed anything for you. Possibly a service is also handling D...

Re: Routing + Logging (+ Backup Battery) example?

Hello Dominik, Thank you for your feedback. We do not support RTOS development, this would go beyond the scope of support we can provide. The RTOS examples are just a basis for your own development, there are many ressources online regarding RTOS development which can be consulted. The Microcontroll...

Re: Forward all messages from CAN's with different bit rates

Thank you for your feedback. If you use the PPCAN-Editor for your configuration, you will have to use the I/O function "CANx Bitrate Raw" to set a custom bitrate, not included in the bitrate dropdown (set the "user"-bitrate here, in this example bitrate = 666,667 kbits): 2021-05-04 11_27_16-Window.p...

Re: Forward all messages from CAN's with different bit rates

Hello, The a custom bitrate can be defined in Firmware on both devices. The approach varies slightly due to different controllers being used, but the examples provided give a good idea on how one would implement his custom bitrate into his application. We offer a bitrate calculation tool which helps...

Re: Linux Name Resolution (DNS) Failure

Furthermore, Usually the CAN interfaces are not set up to handle DNS, a output for "resolvectl status" would show a CAN-Interface configured like this: Link 4 (can0) Current Scopes: none DefaultRoute setting: no LLMNR setting: yes MulticastDNS setting: no DNSOverTLS setting: no DNSSEC setting: no DN...

Re: Linux Name Resolution (DNS) Failure

Hello Nick,

Which driver are you currently using with your PCAN-USB FD?

Are you using the mainline drivers included in the kernel or are you
using the PCAN-Linux driver package?
If you use the latter, we suspect your use the NetDev variant?

Please let us know.

Re: SFF PC case and PCI Express card & MITM Device

Hello, We do not offer a low profile variant of the PCAN-PCIe interface, but you could potentially use the PCAN-MiniPCIe and our MiniPCIe to Low-Profile PCIe adaptor: PCAN-MiniPCIe dual channel (IPEH-003049): https://www.peak-system.com/PCAN-miniPCIe.285.0.html?&L=1 MiniPCIe to LP PCIe Adaptor (IPEH...

Re: Basic concept about UDS: ECU types

Hello Nhan,

yes, you can do that with a 2 channel PCAN-interface.

The channels are handled independently from one another,
