Re: How to make 5 Mbps work? or how to change the "SSP offset" for PCAN-USB FD?

Hello, I'd like to set up 5 Mbps on my USB FD, but could not make the communication work The communication to what exactly? Especially with CAN-FD the bitrates need to be configured correctly for all nodes on the bus, this includes the sampling point. Can you describe us your setup in more detail? B...

Re: Relation between config and .c/.h files

Hi, The config files belong to the Logger firmware, for which the sources are not avilable in the PEAK-DevPack. The default firmware examples do not come with configuration files and do not showcase how they might be used in the context of a firmware. So if you write your own firmware, by default a ...

Re: LabView VI not emptying the receive buffer fast enough

Hello, Which VI are you using specifically? Please understand that we do not provide support for LabView. The solution here would be the read within a loop until "PCAN_ERROR_QRCVEMPTY" will be returned to ensure that the buffer is sufficiently emptied. This is also described in the PCAN-Basic API do...

Re: Relation between config and .c/.h files

Hello,

I think you are refering to something completely unrelated to PCANBasic,
can you please clearify?

Sounds to me like you are talking about the PCAN-Router Pro FD Logging Firmware,
which is in no way related to PCANBasic.

Can you confirm?

Best Regards

Re: CAN_RegisterNet

Hello, What's wrong here at first glance is that you give the clock frequency as Mhz, however it is expected as Hertz, so instead of bitrateFD.ClockFrequency = 80; use bitrateFD.ClockFrequency = 80000000; That the nets are created as internal Nets could be due to the fact that the driver doesnt know...

Re: About PCAN-view software

Hi, With "bus ends" we refer to the end of the bus, in this case thise would be where your db9-connectors are. However it seems to work regardless -for now. If you want to be 100% that no error frames are happening you should check "error frames" in the trace-options in PCAN-View and record a trace ...

Re: About PCAN-view software

Hello, Some additional info: The cabling shown in your pictures may cause issues, as you are missing termination (120Ohm Resistor between CAN-High and CAN-Low on both bus-ends, you should measure ~ 60 Ohms between CAN-High and CAN-Low on the bus in an unpowered state). CAN requires termination to pr...

Re: Slave publish callback

Hello Ales,

The same approach as in PCANBasic is taken when the ReceiveEvent is used in the PLIN API,
you can check the implementation of it in the PCANBasic examples
as a introduction for it.

Re: Slave publish callback

Hello Ales, Because your client-filter is closed. I don't see the filter being set anywhere, i guess you have forgotten it: SetClientFilter.png In the example the filter is automatically set to be open, see the usage of it here: // Set the client filter with the mask. m_LastLINErr = m_objPLinApi->Se...

Re: Slave publish callback

Hello, While checking your code there are different aspects which we do not quite understand the purpose of, so we propose the following example. Please see the example C++ MFC in plin-api\PLIN-API\Samples\C++_MFC i added a counter: int counter = 0; i made the following changes to ReadMessages(): vo...
