Implementation

Just a follow up to a prior post. Being completely new to the ARM and VSCode environment, I found the examples, toolchain and forum to be extremely helpful and appreciated. Here is my functional test and development box - (3) MicroMods, (1) RS-232 Mod used for custom app, (1) Router FD between this ...

PCAN Router-FD 03_TIMER_IO Example

I am testing the VSC tool chain - downloaded latest package from site. Examples 01_ROUTING and 02_EEPROM load and make fine, but the example 03_TIMER_IO (unmodified) has error with uint32_t type not defined. I've tried to work around but am having issues, and of course, this is the example of intere...

PE6 Instrument Panel Object Actor limitation?

An instrument panel Actor feedback signal will not result in a tx message if it is defined in the J1939 proprietary spaces. One can define and place a signal into J1939 Proprietary ID spaces (PropB_00-FF, PropB1_00-FF, PropA/A1). If using an Instrument Panel object, e.g. an analog slider, one can as...

Re: MicroMod FD - rotary encoder channels issue

I will do that - I didn't update firmware as I didn't see the issue in the revision list. I'll do that first. Thank you for checking.

MicroMod FD - rotary encoder channels issue

I have found that regardless of rotary channel assignment in MMFD configuration, the encoder inputs are "glued" to inputs 0 and 1 (channel 0). This is consistent across my MMFD-Dig1, MMFD-Dig2, and MMFD-Ana1. That is: Encoder Channel 0 = unchecked/unassigned Encoder Channel 1 = checked and assigned ...

Fair enough. After a day playing with and learning the tool that was my only question. Nice product.

Diag FD symbol file - no decode data in scope

On PCAN-Diag FD, Should there be decode information in the scope view when a symbol file has been associated. When no symbol file is associated in project, the Scope RX view does show the received data decoded and information about the received message. If I add a symbol file to the project, it tran...
