Hi,
please send a photo of the adapter showing the serial number to our support email address, to see which hardware you are using.

Re: Peak chardev driver on Linux stops reading abruptly
Hi,
please post the output of cat /proc/pcan before and after the reading stops. Can you please show a photo of the used PCAN hardware, to see which version you are using?

Re: Driver for Python application for naming the bus
Hello Mike, yes, when using the PCANBasic API with your application, the network name is fixed to PCANLight_USB_XX. But you can connect PCAN-Explorer to that network, after your application was started. This is a restriction of the free available PCANBasic API. With the optional available PCAN-Devel...

Re: Unable to establish communication through socketcan
Hello, yes, it is also possible to enable the termination on the card, however, you have to solder on the card which need some good soldering experiences. We recommend to use external termination resistors in the CAN cables, like we offer here: https://www.peak-system.com/PCAN-Term.270.0.html?&L=1 r...

Re: Which PEAK hardware for worst-case latency testing?
Hello,
the timestamps of a PCAN-USB FD will also be generated on the hardware. So if you use the PCAN-USB FD as an external CAN sniffer, there are no disadvantages against a PCIe card

Re: Unable to establish communication through socketcan
Hello, please use an external termination resistor to terminate your CAN bus system correctly. Next, please check the used bitrate settings again, they must fit exactly to your settings of your motor driver. As a test, please connect two channels of the PCAN M.2 card with a terminated CAN cable and ...

Re: Trouble with the integration of the library PCAN-UDS
Hi, as a first step, please check that you use the latest available dll files for PCANBasic, PCAN-ISO-TP and PCAN-UDS. You can use the sysinfo tool to check your system, and send the result to our support email address so that we can have a look on your system: https://www.peak-system.com/fileadmin/...

Re: PLIN accept frames with invalid PIDs
Hello, yes, PLIN-View Pro don't show wrong PID frames (there is a filter inplemented). However, if you use our PLIN-API you will get a kind of LIN error frame, which will show you that there is a wrong PID used: PLIN-API-Example.JPG So you will see the frame as an error frame, but with no ID or data...

Re: How to stop Schedule Table through command.
Hi,
you can run a VBscript to start and stop a scheduler in PLIN-View Pro. See Help->VBScript Support for more details. But it is not possible to stop the scheduler by LIN data with PLIN-View Pro. For such an use case you have to write an own application using the PLIN-API.
