Hi,

by default you won't receive your send messages in a CAN system. But there are features available in our API to return the transmitted messages again. Which API and PCAN hardware (firmware) do you use?

Re: PLIN - Simple API Example

Hi, unfortunately with the given code snipped, we are not able to help (many details are not visible). Please have a look in the PLIN API manual, which will show you how to use the API for the different applications: https://www.peak-system.com/produktcd/Develop/PC%20interfaces/Windows/PLIN-API/PLIN...

Re: Corrupt driver after improper shutdown

Hi, the peak-linux-driver is a kernel module and you have to rebuild the driver with every kernel update. Looks like you did a kernel update each time the problem occur. Have a look on the dkms option in driver 8.18 to have a workaround for this issue. See manual of the driver for more details. rega...

Hi,

to use pcanview under Linux, you need to install our peak-linux-driver-8.18 in chardev mode. Please see our Linux website for more details.

Re: how to read frequency of Din0

Hi, the digital inputs of the PCAN-Router FD are designed to read only low frequencies (low pass filter included). The Din0 is linked to MicrocController (NXP LPC4078) P1.14 which can be used with Timer2 Cap0 for such an application. We don't have any code available to read frequencies with that por...

Re: pcanview in listen-only does not work

Hi,

please also note that in LO mode, pcanview won't send out any frames of your xmt file.

Re: pcanview in listen-only does not work

Hi, which PCAN hardware do you use? Which driver version is installed? Do you have a third CAN node available which will ack the messages, when you work with pcanview in LO mode? If you have only 2 CAN nodes, where one is in LO mode, all frames will not be acknowledged and the sender will repeat the...
