yes, correct. You can also have a look in the code of the can_utils tools to understand how SocketCAN works.

Hello,

a mix of standard and extended filters at the same time is not possible with the PCANBasic API. In this case it will be better to filter in your application. See help of PCANBasic for more details.

Please try to prevent T-connections, this could cause problems on higher baudrates.

are there termination resistors on both ends of your CAN bus cables? How long is the T connection to the PCAN-USB?

sure your connected CAN system is active and uses a bitrate of 250kBit/s? Please check your physical cables again, for me they look terrible....
