Re: Help creating Macro

Hi,

with a standard macro (*.mcr) you cannot handle a storage of data. For this purpose please use the VBmacros.

Re: Help creating Macro

Hi, please have a look in the help of PCAN-Explorer 6. See Refernce->Standardmacros for examples on the use of Standard Macros. With a Standard Macro you have very simple commands like send, wait or waitid etc. with which you should be able to handle your task. If you like to get some sample for VBm...

Re: pcan devices missing after apt upgrade

Hi Falcon, yes, when using the peak-linux-driver you have to build and install the driver which each kernel update. Do you use the chardev or SocketCAN option of the driver? If you use SocketCAN, simply uninstall the driver again and reboot the system once to have the kernel intergrated SocketCAN dr...

Re: Problem with function CAN_InitializeFD()

Hi,

well, sometimes it will be better to search for errors in your own system, before posting "big problems" here in the forum :D

Re: Sending custom frame

Hi, the CAN 2.0 and CAN FD protocol of our devices is fixed in the CAN Controller of those modules and cannot be changed. If you want to send a proprietary frame (non CAN conform) on the CAN bus, you have to do this with a microcontroller/FPGA and a transceiver module, which you have to program by y...

Re: I cannot compile the pcanbasic

Hi,

please install the PCANBasic through our peak-linux-driver-8.13 Linux driver, to have all necessary files available. Looks like you posted the driver installation already in an other post, isn't it?

Re: problem in ip link set up can0 Linux

Hi, you should set the bitrate to the value of your CAN nodes with which you will communicate. BTW: SocketCAN related questions should be asked in the Linux section of our forum, because the PCANBasic API does not work with the SocketCAN driver. regards Michael [Moderator: Moved topic to Linux secti...
