Re: UDS to a certain CANID

Hello, Thank you for your request. Regarding your issues: Have you seen this post regarding adding mapping for using different CAN-IDs? https://forum.peak-system.com/viewtopic.php?f=182&t=3008 Furthermore this thread contains a detailed explanation of both TA and SA by my colleague Mr.Vergnaud: http...

Re: Transmitting several CAN messages

Hello,

Thank you for your request.

To further assess the issue, we need the following information:

Which OS do you sue?

Which API do you use?

Which PCAN-OEM driver version do you use?

Best Regards

Re: Multi-CAN interface

Hello Terje, Thank you for the information. Yes, the driver does use a queue, those queues are also referenced quite a few times in the PCAN-Linux Driver Documentation: queues.PNG Most likely you are reading constantly, which of course will drive CPU usage up. A recommendation here is to use event-d...

Re: Instruments panel export

Hello, This is not possible. A Export of the Instruments-Panel as an executable does not exist. PCAN-Explorer 6 will require the Instruments-Panel AddIn to open Instruments-Panel. A PCAN-Explorer 6 AddIn can be purchased at any time, although a "restricted" version of the instruments-Panel is not av...

Re: PCAN-M.2 CAN errors in combination with a IFM RM9000

Hello, The PCAN-M.2 is a FD-capable device, whereas the PCAN-USB only supports CAN2.0. Both devices use different CAN-Controllers which have different default configurations for 500kbit/s sp 0.875 under SocketCAN. As you noticed the same configuration can be applied to the PCAN-M.2 as well in case t...

Re: different symbols on the same can-id

Hello,

Symbols need to be unique within a symbol file.

However, if you are using two CAN-buses at the same time, you can also work with two independent connections and assign a different symbol to each of them.

This way you can assign two different symbols to the same ID.

Re: PCAN-M.2 CAN errors in combination with a IFM RM9000

Hello, Please check if your CANopen nodes use internal termination and if your bus is over-terminated, perhaps. Furthermore, does this error also occur if two Socket-Can nodes (one of them being the PCAN-M.2) are communicating with each other? Please report back to me regarding this. Best Regards Ma...
