Re: PWM input with duty cycle

Hi,

By default this is not the case.

However, there is a workaround.

Re: How To Stop A Loop With Respect To Time

Hello, To use a value (of a signal for example) as a break-condition you could use a While-Loop, for example: Sub WaitForValue() Value = 1 Do while Value < 156 PrintToOutputWindow Value Value = Value + 1 'This simulates the value rising' Wait 1 loop PrintToOutputWindow "Limit was reached " End Sub Y...

Re: How To Stop A Loop With Respect To Time

Hello, The code you included looks like VBS, which leads to the question: Since using PPCAN-Editor is the only way to program the PCAN-MIO, How are you using VBS to control the PCAN-MIO? Are you using PCAN-Explorer 6 here as well? Please clarify how your current setup looks like and how you are usin...

Re: PCAN-miniPCIe with SocketCAN

Hello Marcus, Your command is missing arguments, you should bring the devices up like this, for example: sudo ip link set can0 up type can bitrate 250000 If you search for "can.txt" on Google you will find the documentation for SocketCAN. Chapter 6.5.1 will have detailed information about how to set...

Re: PCAN-miniPCIe with SocketCAN

Hello, In your case using: cat /proc/pcan/ does not apply, this is only related to manually installed drivers. Can you send us your: ip link set can0 up command you have used to configure the device? Additionally we would be interested in seeing the output of: ip -details -statistics link show can2 ...

Re: Asynchronous PEAK Can call

Hello, Here a explanation from the PCANBasic documentation: To use events, the client application must call the CAN_SetValue (class-method: SetValue) function to set the parameter PCAN_RECEIVE_EVENT. This parameter sets the handle for the event object. When receiving a message, the driver sets this ...

Re: CAN expertise needed for master slave scenario

Hello Dana, Please let me clarify: Our PCANBasic API only handles CAN, it does not implement CANopen. I've read multiple sources on CAN but nothing explains the procedure of a master reading a slaves objects. Because, like i said, CAN itself does use a multi-master implementation. You have to look u...

Re: Compile failure for driver 8.9.3

Hello, looks like you're either missing the package "linux-libc-dev" or it's path is different from the one defined in the makefile. Try to locate ioctl.h. If you do find it, change the path in the makefile accordingly. if it does not seem to exist install the "linux-libc-dev" package and try again....

Re: CAN expertise needed for master slave scenario

Hello, CAN uses a multi-master approach and therefore every node has the same importance in a CAN bus. Where CAN does start to prioritize are the messages. The message-ID will determine the priority of a message. The lower the ID the higher the priority. Is the object 0x1014 something thats in this ...

Re: Waring occurs every time using PCAN-UDS to send request

Hello,

Those error-messages indicate that there seems to be an issue with the CAN bus itself.

Please make sure your CAN bus is properly terminated and that you use the correct configuration to communicate with your ECU.
