Re: PEAK Usb not detected on Ubuntu 18.04LTS

Hi,

please post the output of "cat /proc/pcan" and "ip a". Did you supply the PCAN-USB X6 with the the necessary supply voltage?

Re: Ctrlr Rx Buffer overrun

Hi,

what does "lost" mean? You can't find it or you have no access to the PC system with M.2 card anymore?

Re: Using PCAN-LIN with the Labview

Hi, the PCAN-LIN module will be configured by serial commands. It is not supported by the PLIN-API. Only the PC Interfaces PCAN-USB-Pro FD and PLIN-USB are supported by the PLIN-API. As long as you are able to send serial commands through LabView, I see no problem to handle the PCAN-LIN with that so...

Re: PCAN basic

Hi, we do not support Windows 7 anymore, so please install the latest driver and PCANBasic API which we offer with the outdated driver package for Windows 7, which you will find on our support website in the outdated driver section. Select the PCANBasic option in the setup and remove all locale PCAN...

Re: Ctrlr Rx Buffer overrun

Hi, can you please post the output of cat /proc/pcan? This could be an IRQ problem, which can be solved by using the MSI option in our peak-linux-driver. See manual of the driver for more details on how to set this parameter: edit /etc/modprobe.d/pcan.conf and add the following parameter (in red): #...

Re: Linux reboot PCan configuration

Hi,

setting the clock frequency is only possible with CAN FD devices (PCAN-USB FD, PCAN-USB-Pro FD, PCAN-PCIe FD, etc.), the PCAN-USB for CAN 2.0 has a fixed clock frequency of 8Mhz.

Re: Linux reboot PCan configuration

Hi, first of all, please don't post your issue in an existing thread, please use a new topic next time! To use pcanview for Linux your have to install the peak-linux-driver in chardev mode, with the kernel SocketCAN driver it is not possible to use pcanview. Please see all details here: http://www.p...
