Re: Certain messages not sent out

Hello, The PCAN-Router has 16Kbyte RAM, which is needed for all variables, libs, etc. Your compiler will also give information regarding the total size used for the firmware, including all dependencies. You'll need about 16 bytes for an TX message and 20 bytes for a RX message (it includes a timesta...

Re: cant receive frame after a query !

"Extended" only refers to the type of CAN-ID (11bit /29bit) used, how many data-bytes there are is idenpendent from that. You message is both a FD messages and message using an extended ID. Your code is not correct. TPCANBitrateFD BitrateFD msg.MSGTYPE = PCAN_MESSAGE_FD | PCAN_MESSAGE_EXTENDED msg.D...

Re: reduce canFD frame size

Hello, If your controller expects a DLC of 64 regardless of the actual content of the message, i don't think there is much in terms of your code what you can do about it. We do not know your controller and the protocol used here, so we would suggest to stick with the protocol on your software side a...

Re: cant receive frame after a query !

Hello, Just an assumption, as we do not know the full extend of your application: You message uses an ID given as Hex, however the data-byte are given as decimal values: //send frame to controller msg.MSGTYPE = PCAN_MESSAGE_FD; msg.DLC = 3; // DLC (data length code, for canFD message) value. -> 11 i...

Re: About macro

Hello, You seem to have missed the length parameter, the standard macro needs to know how long the message actually is: WaitDataParameters.png Your incoming message is actually 8 Bytes long and you will have to specify this appropiately, your current macro actually waits for: +----------+------+----...

Re: Dump CAN traffic while using Linux driver

Hello,

This will not be feasible with the Chardev driver.

if you want to have a full dump of everything going on on the bus with exact timestamps,
you'll need to use a) SocketCAN and B) use a 2nd Channel to capture the bus-traffic.

In this case using candump will be sufficent.

Best Regards

Marvin

Hello, Consider this example: Imagine your proposed cycles start at the same time 10ms - 20ms - every second cycle of (10ms) happens at the same time 100ms - every tenth cycle of (10ms) and every fith cycle of (20ms) at the same time 1000ms - Every hundreth cycle of (10ms), every fiftieth cycle of (...
