Re: undefined reference to `CAN_InitializeFD', `CAN_WriteFD'...

hello, Seems like PCANBasic is not found... Please check if your PCANBasic header-file is present, Please check again if PCANBasic is installed, check if this works as intended if you use the c++ example folder. Also try including the header file in your application instead of in you hpp file, see i...

Re: Bus-off on any sending attempt - PCAN - USB

Hello,

Thanks for the info,
just wanted to make sure this also
was mesaured in idle.

Sounds like either a Transceiver defect or a defective opto-decoupler (If you device is a IPEH-002022)

Re: How to automatically assign a channel to an ID

Hello,

You would have to write your own function to do this.

You could use a switch to determine this before calling
CanwriteFD to send to message.

There is not a native way to do this in PCANbasic.

Re: Automatic query after a sent message.?!

Hello, You'll need to call CanreadFD as otherwise the message will remain in the Rxqueue. You could check for the return value of calling CanwriteFD and read immediately if you get "PCAN_ERROR_OK" as a return. This way you'll immediately check reception of frames after transmission. Alternatively yo...

Re: Node stops sending messages, when other nodes get plugged in.

Hi,

you could use your PCAN-USB FD to check the traffic on the bus.

In PCAN-View check the Trace Menu and enable all optional frames (Stauts-frames, error-frames, etc) and run a trace. Share your trace with us, maybe we can identify the issue based on your trace.

Re: Linux Update and lost peak_usb driver

Hello John,

You can use the Help menu of PCAN-View Linux to
get more information.

There is no additional manual for PCAN-View Linux.

Re: Linux Update and lost peak_usb driver

Thanks for the quick feedback.

Please check if secureboot is enabled by your bios,
it will prevent unsigned drivers (like the PCAN-Linux driver) from loading.
Disable it and reboot, the driver should load automatically afterwards.

Re: Node stops sending messages, when other nodes get plugged in.

Dear Jannik,

This forum is only for PEAK related support requests, not general CAN-questions, so
is this request related to a specific PEAK-Hardware?

As soon as I plug it into the Car, Tx is stopping
Have you checked if all nodes use the exact same bitrate yet?
