"Display results as: Topic" option not working

The option to display search results as "Topics" instead of "Posts" doesn't seem to be working.
When I choose this option, there's zero search results while the "Posts" option lists the proper results.

Way to reproduce (any search term works):
- Go to "advanced search"
- Enter "script" into keyword field
- Choose "Display results as: Topic"
- Click "Search"
