1. I managed to solve the problem with the frame. Now I have a problem with the connection. I connect to the right port(i get the message "connected", device found on this port, but receive nothing when I send a request.
I am sorry if this isn't your field, I just need to get the software working and I really can't find anything about it.
2. I have 1 more question, I will ask the middleware team which are specialist with the "Peak" systems, but I want to know why is the "PEAK" device i posted a link to earlier different than the "Vector VN", they should be both "USB to RS232" and the "RS232 to CAN network of the ECU" adapter should be separate? I did not find a circuit or any explanations, I think only the pins of the male "DB9 connector" are mentioned.
If you can not help me with these 2 things, thanks for everything, buy and have a nice day.

Re: Send a request to the ECU with a serial terminal
Hi,
to understand your problem, we need to know which PEAK CAN hardware your are using. You told us it is a PCAN-USB IPEH-002021, but as I have written before, this is NOT a serial CAN device. It just has a D-SUB 9pol for CAN, but this does not mean that it uses a serial protocol.
Next, how do you communicate to the module, which software or API do you use?
regards
Michael
