I want to make a transmission with LIN Bus and i bought a PCAN USB Pro FD product. I have STM32F091CCT6 mcu which support LIN protocol. I can send break signals but i cant see any signal at PLIN Viewer.
And also i coulnt send LIN message. My MCU datasheet says if UART in LIN mode(some flag settings) transmission is same as normal UART transmission. But when i try to send normal UART dummy message like 0x2CAABBCCDD i also cannot see any message in PLIN Viewer.
did you supply the LIN transceivers of PCAN-USB Pro with the Vbat voltage of your LIN system? What does the status bar of PLIN-View Pro display? Simply connect both LIN channels of PCANUSB-Pro, start one PLIN-View Pro as master, the other as slave and transmit messages by the master to check the system.
Yes i conneced Vbat voltage to pin9. In pcan usb pro at channel2 lin led blinking. I want to make my mcu as master and pcan pro as a slave.
I imagine my mcu is master and pcan pro is slave. I think i should send break signals and id message from mcu. In PLIN Viewer api i should create a schedule table. For example i send break signals and id (0x20) and define the 0x20 id in schedule table. When 0x20 id received from pcan pro it will combine with the corresponding data for the ID
this looks like an issue with your mcu. When you use the PCAN-USB-Pro as LIN slave and a valid LIN message from a LIN master will be available, it will be displayed it in the receive window of PLIN_View Pro.
Yes you are right it looks like problem with my mcu. But i want to know about schedule table. As i know i must create a table that includes which id which data relation. When mcu sends header as a master pcan usb pro fd should relate the id to corresponding data. Am i right about that ?
if you like to use the LIN channel of PCAN-USB Pro as a LIN slave, there will be no scheduler necessary. Only a master uses a scheduler list. In your case, you have to define the LIN frame in PLIN-View Pro to publisher. You can change the publisher data through the transmitlist of PLIN-View Pro than. As I told before, please use both channels of PCAN-USB-Pro and setup a master-slave communication, so that you will understand how the LIN system will work.
