What does "FB" in the "Type" column mean?

Post by Destoros » Wed 10. May 2023, 14:06

I saved the trace of several CAN FD frames as a text file and now wonder what the "FB" in the "Type" column stands for.

I assume the F stands for CAN-FD frame, but what is the meaning of "B"?

Hi,

please see the CAN trace specification for more details: https://www.peak-system.com/produktcd/P ... Format.pdf

FB = CAN FD data frame with BRS bit set (Bit Rate Switch)
