I have two CAN-LIN adapters:
- PCAN - LIN
- PCAN-USB Pro FD
I am trying to set up PCAN - LIN to control gear of the car.
Firstly, I decided to check whether I can send LIN to LIN frame and get CAN message on PCAN - LIN side. I made USB Pro FD as Master and PCAN - LIN as Slave (I attached testprofile.pclin). I send from PCAN-USB Pro FD (Windows 7, PLIN View PRO, Bit rate 9600) and publish frame (attach PLIN ViewPro .jpg). However, I could not see anything via CAN though PCAN - LIN, but can see sent LIN frame via RS though PCAN - LIN. Could you explain why? Which settings I forgot?
The main goal is to control a gear. I can not attach ldf, only part of it (LDF_gear.ldf) and correspond pclin is
NewProfileCANLIN.pclin. Could you check is it correct? Is partial ldf enough to clarify?

First thing the LIN frame you try to transmit as publisher (3Fh) is not defined in the attached LDF_gear.ldf. It contains only the subscriber frame definition of ID 22h.
However, the profile testprofile.pclin is configured to forward LIN frames to CAN and RS232. This should work.
What do you mean with
How do you try to inspect the CAN frames? With our PCAN-View software and one CAN channel of the PCAN-USB Pro FD?However, I could not see anything via CAN though PCAN - LIN
If you are using the PCAN-View, do you connect with the correct bit rate 250kbit/s? Please note the PCAN-LIN is not a CAN interface like the PCAN-USB Pro FD.
My problem was that - I did not get CAN frames at all in any settings. However, everything appear to be simple I added resistor and I get CAN Frames.
However, as I said I need to control gear. I attached ldf (LDF_gear.ldf) and new pclin (PCANLIN_gear.pclin). Could you check is it correct?

That's fine, so the PCAN-LIN work correctly.
Unfortunately we don't have any information how to control gear you want.
Please contact the manufacturer of the car, to get the needed details.
