Re: Receiving data from lin device using RS232
Hello, i'm still waiting for LDF file...
in the meantime - i've got one more question - when i'm sending frame through pcan-lin software - in control window i don't see any data (i remember that it should show how many frames were send etc.) - do You know how to solve this problem?

Hello,
Are the mentioned columns visible? (Count, Direction, etc)
Can you provide us with a screenshot of your PLIN-View Pro window, so we can
assess this issue?
Best Regards
Marvin

Hi Marvin. We are using PCAN-Lin CT, not PLin ViewM.Heidemann wrote: ↑Mon 11. Jan 2021, 11:34Hello,

Re: Receiving data from lin device using RS232
Hello,
Pardon me, my mistake.
In order to show the traffic on the connected busses in the Messages and Scheduler-Tab foward Mask to RS-232 must be configured for both CAN and LIN, as mentioned in the PCAN-LIN CT help.
Are the foward masks to RS-232 for both CAN and LIN configured?
Please give us feedback regarding this.
Best Regards
Marvin

Re: Receiving data from lin device using RS232
Hello Marvin,
As You suggested, i've tried to change forward mask on both lin & can protocols to rs232, but still in main window i don't receive any info about amount of sent frames etc.

Re: Receiving data from lin device using RS232
Hi,
please enable the error forwarding in the LIN Section for RS232, or send us your PCAN-LIN CT configuration file.
regards
Michael

Re: Receiving data from lin device using RS232
Hello,
it's still me, still with the problem of reading answer through lin...
i've managed to receive frames data in PCAN-Lin software (i had to change time from 5 to 10ms) but still - i receive only info about frames i've send
in attachment i'm sending log file and configuration file
From client i've received info
" You should transmit following frames:
CDE_RESEAU_LIN_4
Signal CDE_PV_LIN = 0x01
Other signals all zero.
CDE_SIEGES
ETAT_PRINCIP_SEV = 0b01 = Contact
Other signals all zero.
You should read following frames:
ETAT_SCB_D (keyboard status)
EVT_DEFAUT_SCB_D: defect status
"
The file which he's referring to - i'd like to send it to you in private message or email - is it possible?

Hello,
Please contact us via email:
support[at]peak-system.com
Make sure to give reference to your issue
and also inlcude the attachments from this forum-post:
LINLog12.txt
NewProfile111.pclin
Also please give us some info on how you transmit the LIN-frames shown in your
logs, do you initiate them via CAN, via RS-232? Are you just "listening to a LIN-bus"?
Best Regards
Marvin
