I am currently trying to upload a firmware to the PCAN-Router Pro FD. In order to do so I inserted a memory card into the slot (formatted in FAT32), turned the switch on the back to "F" and restarted the system.
But in my case the LED's arent blinking alternating. The CAN 1 - 6 LED's are just orange (not turning off and on) and the Power LED is green, while the status LED is off, aswell as the Internal Memory and Memory Card LED.
When I try to connect to the PCAN-Router Pro FD, the PEAK Flash 2, the error "A BUS error occured while searching for devices."
So my question is, what did i do wrong in order upload a firmware?
Kind regards,
Henrik

Re: Start of CAN Bootloader
Have you try to flash the Logger Firmware or any FPGA Updates to the device before you run into this problem?
Or did you flash a own application?
Please try to go to Bootloader mode:
If they still smooth on (red), it looks as the FPGA flash is corrupt. We need to re-flash the FPGA Firmware.
Please contact us at support[at]peak-system.com with the serial number of the Device if you could not start the Bootloader Mode.
Or did you flash a own application?
Please try to go to Bootloader mode:
- Bring back the rotary switch to position 0.
- Remove the SD card from the slot.
- Power off the Device and hold the white button on the left (next to the SD Card Slot - Log on/off) while power on the Device, for minimum 10 seconds.
If they still smooth on (red), it looks as the FPGA flash is corrupt. We need to re-flash the FPGA Firmware.
Please contact us at support[at]peak-system.com with the serial number of the Device if you could not start the Bootloader Mode.

Re: Start of CAN Bootloader
I have figured out the problem: The supply current was not sufficient enough. After increasing the current, the bootloader started as described in the manual.
Thank you for your suggestions.
