micromod analog1 - won't report negative values

Post by miller_dimaag_ai » Wed 2. Oct 2024, 23:08

I have a Micromod analog1 device configured for +/-5 v input on analog input 0 (16 bit). It reports positive voltage values as expected, but any voltage value less than zero is reported as zero. Since it _IS_ configured for +/-5 volt input this seems like an error? Is this a known problem? Or did I perhaps miss a configuration step?

please send us your configuration to support[at]peak-system.com - we will take a closer look at it.

Hi U.Wilhelm!

As it turns out, setting the data type of the signal to 'signed' in the "Transmit Variable" fixed the problem. I tried this yesterday, but apparently the "send configuration" button didn't actually work the first couple of times I tried it. Everything seems fine now.
