Receiving PCAN_ERROR_BUSHEAVY error

Post by abhardwaj » Sat 23. Mar 2024, 18:14

I am trying to connect to a robotic hand (Allegro Hand) using a PCAN USB device. I receive the PCAN_ERROR_BUSHEAVY error when I am trying to connect to the device. I was able to connect to it until a week ago with the same code. I have checked the wiring on both sides is correct. How can I debug this issue?

search for BUSHeavy, and you will find many recommendations… it is a physical problem…
wrong / missing termination
wrong timing
bad cabeling
no other active CAN node on the Network (missing ACK)
defect transceiver(s)
…..
