PCAN stopped receiving data and unplugged

Hello allgeometry dash wave,
I'm using PCAN-USB to gather data from a microcontroller to a PC. The data transfer was proceeding OK until PCAN stopped receiving data and unplugged, although data from the microcontroller was still being delivered across the bus.

Please advice on how to resolve this. Is this a connection problem or a virus?

What is "unplugged" in that context?

Also which software are you using?

Which driver version?
