Pain points

Post by jshaffer » Thu 10. Sep 2020, 19:21

So, this is some great gear that I enjoy using. I did have two minor issues.

The label on top seems backwards to me. When one is holding the device and looking at the row of DB9 or M12 connectors, I would expect the label to align with it but it is flipped 180. Not really a problem but I had to explain it to some other people. I only mention it because it seems like an easy thing to fix. Now that I look at the product page, it seems like the label lines up with the channels. Perhaps I just got an old one.

The other issue is the need for a separate power supply. Somewhat annoying but completely understood why it would be required. I thought it would be nice if the device could be connected via the new USB standard that includes higher power output from USB ports, maybe that's USB 3+ or whatnot.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

Can you perhaps show us a picture of your PCAN-USB X6?

Best Regards
