Hi all,
I am using the latest version of PCAN-View with a PCAN-USB and it works fine but I can see that I can see decoded and displayed the four DATA LENGTH CODE bits but the other three control bits (RTR, IE & Reserved) are not decoded.
Is there a way to enable decoding and logging of this bits in the messages?
Thank you,
Roberto

Re: How to decode RTR, IE & Reserved Control Bits
All for the CAN consumer needed Bits are shown inside PCAN-Vew if a CAN Frame have the Bits set.
The DLC is a must because it decodes the Data Lenght. All other Bits will be shown as Flags if the PCAN-View Receice them. Some Layer 1 Bits will never be shown in the PCAN-View, because the CAN Layer2 do not need them (ACK, CRC, IE, EOF etc.)
For that you need a Layer 1 Tool, like the PCAN-Diag or a scope with CAN-Layer 1 Decoding etc.
