Yes, but it outputs errors:
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'pcan': Operation not permitted
modprobe: ERROR: ../libkmod/libkmod-module.c:990 command_do() Error running install command 'modprobe --ignore-install pcan' for module pcan: retcode 1
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'pcan': Invalid argument

Thanks for the quick feedback.
Please check if secureboot is enabled by your bios,
it will prevent unsigned drivers (like the PCAN-Linux driver) from loading.
Disable it and reboot, the driver should load automatically afterwards.

BTW, do you have a more detail user manual for pcanview (Linux version). It's a bit confusing how to set up the connection.
