If you are using a PCAN-USB FD or a PCAN-USB Pro FD at Windows 10 and you have trouble with the driver installation please follow the steps below:

-> Plug the PCAN-USB Pro FD into the affected USB port from your computer where the error warning appear.

-> Go to the device manager (control panel) and uninstall the driver for the PCAN-USB Pro FD, please select also "Remove the driver software for this device".

-> Unplug the device from the USB port, wait 5 seconds and plug the device into the USB port.

-> If the device is furthermore listed as CAN hardware (or Code 10 is reported) then uninstall the driver again till you see the "unnown device" state.

-> If the device is listed as "unknown device" the uninstall procedure is succesfull finished for this port, please connect the PCAN-USB Pro FD to the next USB port and retry the steps above.

-> Unplug the device from the USB port, wait 5 seconds and plug the device into the USB port.

-> Now install the driver manually via the device manager, select the *.inf and *.sys from the product CD or from C:\Program Files\PEAK-System\PEAK-Drivers\Drivers.
