Hello there.
To get PCAN-Router Pro asleep:
- Stop all CAN traffic on the 4 buses, then set variable SELFHOLD to 0.
To get PCAN-Router Pro back to life:
Either
Send a CAN message into any port of the device
or
Connect the wake up line (pin 4 in Dsub #3 or #4) with Vbat
or
Set the alarm clock

See the tutorial on the product dvd for details:

chapter 7.

Hello,
I have a problem with the wake up function of the router pro. I have already read the tutorial (and tested it) and the related topics here, but I could not find anything useful.
So I tested the tutorial Exercise 7a: Sleep and WakeUp via CAN, the router goes to sleep as described but I am not able to wake it up via CAN message. The text mentions the following: "Any subsequent message will cause wake up of the device", but in my case nothing happens.
I can wake up the device only via applying the Vbat on the pin 4 of the dsub connector. Right now it is enough, but in the future I want to use the wake up function via sending a CAN message.
Do you have any idea what could be the problem?
Thank you in advance!

info could be found in the manual section 5.1
See table - only some CAN Transceivers could handle the Wake Up on CAN.

We do not know which Transceiver Types you use in your unit - maybe isolated Version - they can not handle Wake Up on CAN (HSGE2)
