To realise a baud rate detection I wanted to use the listen only mode. However, using PCI card I'm not able to open a conntection without destroing the can bus if the baud rate does not match!

Setup: A Running CAN network configured to 500kBit/s and a PCAN-PCI channel connected to it

1. Open Pcan-View
2. Select PCAN-PCI Network configured with 1MBit/s
3. Select Listen-Only Mode
4. Click OK
5. Communication of CAN Network is destroyed.

Doing the same using the PCAN USB works perfectly fine, the network is not disturbed in any way.

Any idea why listen only is not working for PCI?

Please update to the latest drivers and to the latest PCAN-View and it will work. Looks like you use a older Software combination. For download the latest PCI Tools, please see here

I updated to the newest SW version and driver. The behaviour is the same. I attached a picture with the versions in use. Do I have the correct versions?

The FPGA Firmware of th eHardware is not up to date (must be 1.3).
