Signal-noise visible on Scope?

Post by Tesmec » Sat 14. May 2016, 21:29

I did capture the CAN signal with the Scope and found strange noise affecting the bus, could you help me understand which could be the reason?
Thanks.

Hello,

this curve look quite good to me. There is a symmetrical overshoot when the bus changes from recessive to dominant, and it takes a little while until the signal settles when changing from dominant to recessive.
But the disturbance is far away from disturbing the signal. Detection level of a dominant signal is typically >0.7V (min. >0.5V) for the differential receiver voltage.
