Hello,

we want to use the PCAN UDS Api in our applications to reduce development effort and support. The problem is that our UDS tester applications needs J1939 address claim support to discover dynamically the available ECUs on the bus. In our environment is only one PCAN USB dongle with one channel allowed. Unfortunately the UDS Api does not support the parallel use with the PCAN Basic Api on the same channel so we can't implement the feature by our own.
Is there any possibility to get the J1939 address claim feature in the UDS Api? Or exist a usable backdoor in the UDS Api to process CAN messages although it is not a UDS message?

Hello Mabel,

Unfortunately this is not possible with the current release. Future release should allow the transmission and reception of CAN, CAN-FD, ISO-TP, UDS messages but for now the only possible way is to connect another PCAN device.

No, there is no date scheduled right now. Do not expect anything before a couple of months.
