Windows driver initially fails after reboot

Hi,
I am working with the PCAN-LAN device IPEH-004010. I have an application that runs on Windows10 and uses PCAN driver version 4.1.3.16213. After a reboot of the Windows machine, the application fails to communicate with the devices on the other end of the CAN bus.
When this happens, the Web UI shows that the device is ready but Virtual PCAN application shows that the PC-to-CAN channel is yellow. See the screenshots attached.
The problem can be remedied by toggling the "Default" checkbox on the "Network Adapter" setting in the Virtual PCAN Gateway application. Disabling/enabling the channel also seems to recover the connectivity.
Is this a normal behavior?
How do I ensure that my Windows driver and the PEAK device work good after a reboot without requiring human intervention?
This is a common problem across multiple machines and PCAN devices.
Please see relevant screenshots below.
