Hi,

I try to export / import sym files with PPCAN-Editor 2.1.0.245 without success.

When I try to export by right-click, "Export into Symbols File...", "Save" no file is created nor an error message is thrown.

Same for importing symbol files. I can select a file but there is nothing imported nor an error message appears.

Any suggestions how to fix this or work around?

Do you have the PEAK Symbol Editor installed (PcanSym.dll)?
Which version thereof (5/6)?

PEAK Symbol Editor was not installed on my machine. I downloaded version 6 and unpacked it to

C:\Program Files (x86)\PPCAN-Editor 2\

The Symbol Editor is working but I still can't import/export any .sym file in PPCAN-Editor.

Where should I put the Symbol Editor-files to make it work?

Hi,

as written by email, a PCAN-Explorer licence will be necessary to have a working sym file import available. You can contact our support email address to request a 30days trialversion of PCAN-Explorer 6.

Hi,

I have Peak Symbol Editor 6 but I still can't export into .sym file from PPCAN-Editor 2. I also found (PcanSym.dll) located in same folder location as (PcanSEdt.exe) PCAN-Symbol Editor.

Can you please advise?

As Michael told - you need a valid license of the PCAN-Explorer on your system ...
