Dear team,

PCAN USB works fine on Silver Scan-Tool (from RA Consulting) when accessing J1979 information. The APIs are well supported.

But, when trying to access information of J1939 using the same Silver Scan-Tool, PCAN USB fails.
Please let me know if there is a specific dll/API required for this purpose.

P.S. J1939 data was populated perfectly with use of hardware interface from a different supplier!!!

thanks for the info. Unfortunately we don't know the Silver Scan-Tool. Please contact the manufacturer of that tool for help. We also offer an optional available RP1210 API with J1939 support. Perhaps this tools needs an existing RP1210 interface to work with J1939. Here the link to the RP1210 API:

I am sure, you or your colleagues would have heard of RA Consulting GmbH.

It will be great if you may provide the RP1210 API for trail purpose for the next 2 days.
Once confirmed, I can ask my customer to make a purchase of the API.
