Hi,
My laptop is ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
Sometimes I plug PCAN-USB into my laptop, I cant found the pcan driver.
After I install pcan-driver-Version 8.5.1 (27.10.2017) and restart laotop, it will be OK.
I dont know what is wrong.
Regards,
Saike

Hi,

you have to rebuild and reinstall our peak-linux-driver with each kernel update, because the driver is a kernel module. Please read driver manual for more details.

If you use the SocketCAN, simply uninstall the peak-linux-driver and use the SocketCAN driver which is included with the kernel. Then you don`t have to rebuild the driver with each kernel change.

regards

Michael

Hi,

That is a kernel update issue.
Thanks very much!

I just saw this - I cooked up a DKMS config to solve. I've posted it into the forum which should help you!
