I’m new on CAN technology, so I’m aware my question might be a little bit improper.

I have just purchased a PCAN-PCI from your website in order to communicate with a Rugged CAN Rotary Cursor Controller (RCC), on a Windows platform. I managed to connect to RCC using PCAN-View and PCAN-Base Sample applications, and also to track RCC inputs using these applications.

My question is where can I get the specifications about CAN-IDs and CAN message formats I need to transmit to RCC, so I can manipulate its LEDs, for instance? Can you please give me a hint on this?

You should contact the manufacturer of your Rugged CAN Rotary Cursor Controller (RCC) for this information.

We do not have this information and therefore cannot tell you much about it.
