Hello,
Can I just solder the JTAG connector and flash the application Hex file using my J-link device?
Would it be any issue with the bootloader or starting address?
Best Regards
Jacob

Hello,
Thank you for request.
You can flash via both serial and CAN as described in the manual, we do actively support both of these methods.
We do not support firmware uploads using JTAG and cannot provide you any infortmation regarding this.
JTAG may be used for debugging purposes as mentioned in the manual:

Note: i removed the external link, please see our forum rules regarding this.

Thanks Marvin,
Is there any flashing tool to use via RS232?
I see I have to modify the board but I don“t find the procedure to load the hex or bin file via RS232.
Regards
Jacob

Hello,
To quote the manual for PCAN-Rs232(Page 21):
The actual upload process depends on the upload software used which is supplied by a third party and is not described here.
We do not supply such software.
You may want to take a look the Flashtools by NXP or FlashMagic by our partner-company EmsA:

Thanks Marvin,
I am using FlashMagic.
Close the JP4 and Power up.
Its performs satisfactory the Erase memory and Write sectors 1 and 16.
I open the JP4 and reboot power.
Program does not start.
It is not necessary to flash sector 0? Should it be a loader there?
Best Regards
Jacob

You need to know how to use the external Tool and which sectors you want to write - see Data Sheet of Controller.
Try if the Serial Bootloader will answer and flash one of our firmware we deliver with the third party flash tool - as we recommend - using a CAN Flash Tool is much easier, saver /and faster.
