Export PPCAN-Editor configuration as binary file?

Dear PEAK-Team,

I'm wondering if it is possible to export / compile a binary image of a PCAN Router Pro configuration created with your PPCAN-Editor. Another user of the router should not be able to (deeply) analyse the used CAN-DBC (CAN signals/messages) for creating the router configuration (as well as not be able to accidentally change something of the configuration. So I would like to provide a binary file which just simply be flashed on the unit using PEAK-Flash. It doesn't have to be a binary, as long it is a "non-readable" file to be flashed into the unit using either PEAK-Flash or the PPCAN-Editor.

Is something like that possible and if so what would be the steps to create the firmwar image?

Thank you for your support!

Hello,

when using the default firmware with the PCAN-Router Pro which will be configured with the PPCAN-Editor, there are no options to prevent a readout of the data/config from the device. For your application it will be better to write your own firmware for the PCAN-Router Pro and flash it to the module with PEAK-Flash. Then the binary can't be read out.

Please see details in the Develop\Microcontroller hardware\PEAK-DevPack directory of our product dvd for more details on how to create own applications for PCAN-Router Pro.
