Hi everyone

We use PEAK-PCIe-FD card, CAN1 CAN2 docking and transmission (CAN1 tx, CAN2 rx), the clock is 80MHz (other speed conditions are worse...).

When we start the test, AER errors will continue to occur and repeat, the message is as follows:

Code: Select all

pcieport 0000:00:1c.4: AER: Multiple Corrected error received 0000:00:1c.4
pcieport 0000:00:1c.4: PCIe Bus Error: severity=Corrected, type=Physical Layer, (Receiver ID)
    pcieport 0000:00:1c.4: device [8086:06bc] error status/mask=00000001/00002000
    pcieport 0000:00:1c.4: [ 0] RxError

This card seems to only support ASPM L1 power state. The BIOS of the hardware we tested has ASPM Disable set by default. Is it possible to have something to do with this?

modprobe pcan information in below (we try change fdirqcl , fdirqtl but any change......):

Code: Select all

   pcan: Release_20210505_n (le)
pcan: driver config [mod] [isa] [pci] [pec] [usb]
    pcan: 0000:0a:00.0 PCAN-PCIe FD sub-system id 14h (4 channels)
pcan: running with fdirqcl=1 instead of 16
pcan: running with fdirqtl=1 instead of 10
    pcan: PCB v3h FPGA v3.2.1 (mode 3)
pcan: - pcie fd device minor 0 found
pcan: - pcie fd device minor 1 found
pcan: - pcie fd device minor 2 found
pcan: - pcie fd device minor 3 found
usbcore: registered new interface driver pcan
    pcan: major 239
This situation can happen even on intel CRB, can anyone help?

Hello,

thanks for the info. Yes, we know about such an issue on some specific motherboards. We also have a workaround available by updating the firmware of the card.

Please send us an email to our support email address with the serial number of the used PCAN card. Please also send us the output of uname -a, to be able send you the needed update tool for linux.

regards

Mchael

Hi Michael

Yes , after update PEAK firmware , AER Error No longer appear on dmesg, very thanks!

Let me confirm, is this version of firmware only applicable to this card? Or can the same model of PCAN-PCIe-FD Card be applicable?

Best Regards
