If you own a first Generation PCAN-USB Pro FD and like to use the latest Firmware 3.x, you need to be sure that you bring your system up to date with some special Tools.

Since Firmware 3.x we have add a new Bootloader and you could update your PCAN-USB Pro FD very simple with our PEAK-Flash Tool --> link. This Tool includes always the latest Firmware vor nearly all PEAK-System CAN/LIN Devices.

If you own a PCAN-USB Pro FD with a Firmware 1.x or 2.x please follow this Steps:

Download the needed Bootloader Firmware and Documentation how to flash older Devices with the new Bootloader from this link.

To flash the MSD-Bootloader to the Device, you need to use a Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 System
W10 / W11 is not supported by this old Tools.

Hi, looking to update the firmware of my device. Is support for updating the device under Windows 10 planned?

The older Firmware can only be update on a W7 System - this is a restriction of W10/W11 not from us.
As the Firmware update was released at a time where mots peolple use a W7/8.1 we do not invest more time in change the Update Tool, to fix a W10/W11 limitation.
This is also simply not possible, because of the used USB Base stack in W10/W11. If this was simply to implement we already have done it....
