dinamically change symbol name

Hi,
I have a symbol defined and I would like to reuse it for different CAN-IDs changing the name for each of them. Is it possible or should I copy&paste the symbol for each CAN-ID? It's possible to use a symbol for a CAN-ID range but after it's shown always with the same name: I would like to change its name based on the CAN-id. I did a search in the forum but I didn't find this topic ... I hope it's not a repetition.
thanks
Michele

Hi,

with PCAN-Explorer 5 you could use the copy paste option or you use a range for symbols. See help of PCAN-Explorer 5 for more details (Reference -> Symbols Files -> Symbols) on how to use a range:

[MySymbol]

ID=100h-1FFh

Hi,
The range of symbols is the solution I'm currently using but the problem is that the message is displayed always with the same name despite of the CANID. The biggest problem for me it's in the trace because I'm not able to get ID. As far as I understood the only solution is to use the copy&paste method, am I right?
thanks
