When it comes to the internal termination (serial number greater than 200.00), will a simple jumper or a 120Ohm surface mount resistor be used to make the connection? Hope have responds soon!

Re: Need help please
In the CAN world, it is a unwritten rule to terminate the cable.
But if you like to terminate the CAN Nodes, in your case a PCAN-USB with SerNo>200.000, you need to take a look into the manual...all is explained..

So please download the manual read chapter 2.2 and there you find the needed information. Here in the Forum we try to answer requests which are not solved by reading the manualChapter 2.2 Internal Termination
Only applicable from S/N 200.000:
The internal termination can be activated by solder jumpers on the circuit board to terminate one end of the CAN bus. At delivery the termination is not activated.
Tip: We recommend to do termination at the CAN cabling, for example with the terminating resistors PCAN-Term (IPEK-003002) or PCAN-MiniTerm (IPEK-003002-Mini).
Thus, CAN nodes can be flexibly connected to the bus.
