I have a licensed copy of PCAN Explorer 5, V5.0.4.641. Am I able to download an update to bring it to latest release V5.3.1?

Use the link in the start page of PE5 - there you see all updates and have direct access to the latest version.

That was obvious!
I didn't spot it bacause I normally open explorer by double clicking my project.
