Re: Filter for only specific IDs in PCAN Basic API

Hello, You can push individual IDs to the hardware-filter by only giving the same ID when calling "FilterMessages": ## Set cascading filters: stsResult = self.m_objPCANBasic.FilterMessages(self.PcanHandle, 0x102, 0x102, PCAN_MESSAGE_STANDARD) if stsResult != PCAN_ERROR_OK and stsResult != PCAN_ERROR...

Re: help create GUI using VBS macros

Hello, PCAN-Explorer 6 does not have XCP/CCP specfic features. We do not provide any sample code to implement the CCP or XCP protocol via macros, nor do we recommend to implement the protocols in macro. If you only need to implement small portions of the protocol it might be feasible, implementing t...

Re: No CAN messages received

Hello, You can't change the clock frequency of the PCAN-USB, it will run at a fixed 8Mhz. You can run multiple CAN-nodes with varying frequencies, however the bitrate has to match. The most relevant variable in that case is the used sample-point by both CAN-Nodes. Most likely the configurations used...

Re: Help creating Macro

Hello, In this case you have created a new message object and allocated values to its variables, however you'll need to explicitly send the message object. Auto transmit only works signal based, so if you change data in a newly created message object, it will have no influence on the signal data, th...

Re: HowTo install the peak-linux-driver on a RPI Raspbian image

Hello, Thank you for your request. Our general recommendation still holds true for your kernel version as well: You'll need to install the kernel headers in order to install the PCAN-Linux driver, you may want to check the appropiate resources for your Distro on how to install them, usually under Ra...

Re: Can peak-linux-driver still be compiled (on Ubuntu 20.04)

Re: PCAN-RS-232 create firmware

Hello, Thank you for your feedback. Using "make all" should not be an issue. If you should have any further issues regarding this, please try the following: 1) Download a fresh Peak-DevPack: https://www.peak-system.com/quick/DLP-DevPack Extract it to a folder you have write permissions to, for examp...

Re: Receive/Transmit Window values freeze when using Plotter

Hello, Thank you for request. Can you give us additional information, so that we can further assess this behavior? - Can you specify the time it takes to replicate this behavior more specifically? (Minutes, hours, days?) - How many channels are you plotting? - Once the Receive/Transmit-Window freeze...
