Bitrate information

Post by Mike15 » Wed 3. Mar 2021, 14:22

Hello,
how should the purple information in the bit trace be interpreted? Could not found anything about it.
Best regards
Mike

Hello Mike,

We assume you are referring to the Oscilloscope-View,
in which case this is refering to bit periods (blue):

The elements of the Oscilloscope-View are described in the PCAN-Diag FD docuementation, chapter
6.1 - Properties of the Oscilloscope Function:

I assume that the blue vertical line mark the sample point, does it?
But what does that purple lines mark? They occur here and there, never within the CRC, at both edges.

Hello,

These indicate stuff-bits,
you are right, this is missing from the manual.

Hi,

This will be documented in the next release of the user manual. Thanks for giving the hint, Mike.

Kind regards
