Looking to read 2 PWM inputs into a Micromod frequency lines. I have the eval board & PCAN programmer. Looks like i will need to write custom firmware as config utility only allows for PWM out, not In.
Is there a way to read PWM with standard Micromod?
Having difficulties getting softune workbench. Any other IDE's you recommend.
The PCAN config download includes example code and the .mhx files of the V2.2.5 code. Is the source available for 2.2.5 that i could build from to read PWM values coming in on Frequency input lines? Would rather not start from scratch.
Thanks Brad

Re: MicroMod PWM Input
Dear Brad,
we can offer you a firmare that allows you to read in two PWM-Signals.
The standard configuration tool can be used for configuration. The frequency-input dialog will be used to configure the CAN-ID and byte/bit position for the pwm-value on the CAN-Bus.
It is requirde to connect DIN0 & DIN1 together to the first pwm-channel and DIN2 & DIN3 to the second pwm-channel.
Please contact our support (support@peak-system.com) to get the firmware with a reference to this forum entry.

Re: MicroMod PWM Input
Hello,
I need same configuration to read PWM input (read freq and duty cycle) but I need 4 channels. In previous post there is mention for 2 only, so it's limited to 2 or can use more? Thanks.

Re: MicroMod PWM Input
Hello,
PCAN-MicroMod has 4 Frequency-In channels (FIN), but for PWM Measurement it is required to connect 2 FIN-Channels (0+1) or (2+3) to the same PWM-signal. Therefor PCAN-MicroMod supports measuring of 2 PWM Signals.
Depending on the MicroMod baseboard the FIN-Channels are separate available (e.g. PCAN-MicroMod Eval, MiroMod Mix3), or DIN and FIN channels are tied together (e.g. PCAN-MicroMod Digital1/2 PCAN-MicroMod Mix1/2).
