Signalize CF card almost full & full using PPCAN-Editor 2

Post by Dominik M. » Mon 27. Jan 2020, 10:14

Hello,

I'm looking for an easy way to signalize that the CF card will be soon full and full using the LED(s) and/or the built in beeper. I would like to achieve this using the PPCAN-Editor 2.

Is there a way to change colors or blink frequency of the CF-LED or µC-Status (e.g. green = empty, orange = 50% filled, red = full) using a function block to compare it with "Trace File Msg Free"?
How can I control the beeper (frequency, time) to signalize the CF status (e.g. one short single beep 75% full and a fast beeping when 95% full)?

Thank you!

Hello.

You obviously you have discovered all available resources indicating CF card status.
That downward counter "Trace File Msg Free" was intended to be sent over CAN to a visualisation terminal.

On the PCAN-Router Pro itself, there's no much signalling means.

Status LED and Trace LED can be controlled in C-SW only,
but then you lose the whole CF card functionality !

8 CAN LEDS are either on or off, no other settings.
Beeper is either on or off, no other settings.
Other LEDs are not populated (always dark).
