Hi, i saw peak released the PCAN-M.2 module, and it allowwed the connection of CAN and CAN FD networks via the M.2 interface (PCIe) of modern computer boards. So i want to know if the PCAN-M.2 is SJA1000 compatible? Our products use the PCAN-miniPCIe under RT Socketcan with xenomai3, it is SJA1000 compatible.

Thank you!

Hello,
The PCAN-M2 is CAN-FD capable. Thus, it is not SJA1000 compatible. Currently, our CAN-FD products are supported under RT environments like Xenomai or RTAI only by using our "pcan" driver. *BUT* in these RT environments, this driver doesn't offer the RT-socketcan socket interface but its own RTDM interface. If you want to have a look to this driver, you can download it from:
https://www.peak-system.com/fileadmin/m ... 7.0.tar.gz.
FYI: The integration of the support of our CAN-FD cards in the RT-socketcan layer is planned this year.

Would it be possible to get a status update on RT-SocketCAN support of PCAN-M.2 cards?
Thanks!

Hello!
Currently we are waiting on feedback from Xenomai regarding this driver,
as soon aas there are any developments regarding this, i'll post about it in this thread.
This will most likely also be posted as news on our website,
i'll notify the people in this thread regarding this.
Best Regards
Marvin
