PCAN-DIAG FD: The right solution for stand-alone Trace Playback?

My company is in need of a stand alone device that can playback a trace file in a loop on a canbus network. Is this something that Peak offers?

I have a PCAN Diag FD that does this but the purpose of what we are looking to do is to equip our sales staff with the equipment required to demo some of our products to our dealer network and the Diag FD is way overkill both in its capability and budget. We need something simple that I can setup for them and the sales staff will have to do little more then plug it into the network.

If this is something you have or can point me in the right direction i would appreciate it, right now we need about 40 units.

if the PCAN-Diag2 or PCAN-Diag FD are "overkill" for your application, you can have a look on the PCAN-MiniDisplay:

This tool is also able to replay trace files.

I will look into this, it sounds a lot closer to what we are looking for.

It is not required for this project and believe i already know the answer, but is this device able to display NMEA 2000 data or do the fragmented messages not make this possible?

Hi,

the PCAN-mini Display doesn't support NMEA 2000 specific protocol data. You can only create scenes and trace and replay CAN data. See specs and manual on our website:

This is a PCAN-Diag FD based hardware with special NMEA software on it, available through Gemeco only.
